Bosnia war criminal dies after taking poison in court

A Bosnian Croat wartime commander has died after swallowing a lethal dose of poison in a U.N. war crimes courtroom on Wednesday after losing an appeal against a 20-year prison sentence. 72 year old Slobodan Praljak shouted that he was not guilty and gulped down poison upon hearing his sentence at the U.N. war crimes tribunal in the Hague on Wednesday.

Question: How did he get the poison into the courtroom.  Didn’t they search him before bringing him in?
